KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
- Developing and execution of communication, media and/or visibility strategies, including curating execution plans to fit budgets, stakeholder needs, volatility in circumstances, or addressing crises.
- Successfully managed mass and social media strategic planning and execution of high-level and multi institutional events such as the Tanzania - EU Business Forum of 2023, including international media.
- Accomplished in organising and overseeing multi-stakeholder events across diplomatic missions, government agencies, non-governmental institutions as well as civic and educational institutions. For example:
- while working for the EU, I was instrumental in the planning and coordinating five higher institutions' dialogues as part of the National Dialogue on Ending Child Marriage, FGM and Teenage Pregnancies, in 2018.
- Highly conversant in planning, coordination and execution of short-term and long-term campaigns:
- Coordinated multi-stakeholder campaigns against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) from 2017 to 2019, including driving the agenda through a digital media campaign #EndFGM2030, such as the series of 16 stories as part of 16 days of Activism to end Violence Against Women, in 2019. The campaign was jointly led by the Government of Tanzania, The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the EU together with the Member States.
- Overseen the execution of large social media campaigns, including the Tanzania's We See Africa Campaign by the European Union (EU) Global Gateway initiative.
- Organising high-level events and mastering of ceremonies
- As part of my responsibilities at the EU Delegation, I was responsible for coordinating the Annual Europe Day activities, and the budgeting of them. I have successfully overseen the organisation of nine (9) Europe Day cycles. The activities included EU Day High-level Receptions, exhibitions, sports events and cycle caravans, as well as inauguration ceremonies.
- I have successfully supported joint actions with either member states, other diplomatic missions, government entities, UN agencies, and/or non-governmental organisations (NGOs, to commemorate key international days.
- Media relations and management of press events:
- Since 2014, I have either spearheaded or supported the organisation of press events, at least six (6) times in a year (except during the Covid-19 period) - with different media stakeholders.
- Skilled in preparing customised press reviews, media summaries, media analyses and media reports to suite the audience or recipient(s).
- Capable in assessing and developing need-based training manuals, as well as recommend appropriate trainers for media stakeholders or for other recipients on subjects related to media, journalism, communication, audio-visual production and related subjects.
